Introduction

OOUX fundamentally changed the way I work.

It taught me how to bring order to ambiguous problems, structure complex ideas, and surface the right questions early, long before they would become expensive issues.

Through this masterclass, I learned how to create a shared language across design, development, and leadership, making collaboration smoother and far more effective.

OOUX doesn’t just help us design better products for people; it acts as the connective tissue between teams, bringing clarity to product decisions and accelerating how quickly meaningful solutions can be built.

What we did

Through this 12-week program, we ran through a process called ORCA (Objects, Relationships, Calls-to-action, Attributes) to finalize, with complete clarity, an MVP blueprint for a mobile app concept.

This 16-step process is a game changer for UX and product design.

While it may seem like a lot of steps, it’s actually quite flexible. You can remix it based on your product, budget, timeline, and team. Some steps can take an hour or less; others may require more time.

At its core, it's really four steps that each focus on the same four elements: objects, relationships, CTAs, and attributes.

The overall purpose is to make sure every ambiguity is accounted for when creating the blueprints that are meant to guide the overall design, development, and management of a complex digital solution.

It’s building a foundation that will hold up over the course of time.
